Kayak Basics Clinic - April 27

Join Pack Rat for a morning of introductory kayaking instruction! We'll be covering a variety of basic/intro topics:

1. Strokes - turning, power strokes, bracing
2. River Basics - safety, interpreting and reading river features, information & resources
3. Outfitting your boat -  customizing the fit of your boat, and your equipment

This course will be taught by Jonna H., an ACA L4 certified kayak instructor. It will take place at Pack Rat and will be primarily on-the-ground training, with our pond available for use as needed. Jonna will stay after the class for questions, and anyone interested in more on the water practice.

*Please note: Having a kayak and gear is not mandatory. If you have your own kayak and equipment, you are more than welcome to bring it if you want!
